Description: Here is an update to the Ukiyoe Heroes print series, showing the process of proofing the block set for the Jed Henry design known as 'The Serpent Strikes'. It was shot in the Tokyo workroom of woodblock printer Kenichi Kubota in March of 2018. Shortly after this trial printing was completed, Kubota-san began work on the initial batch of production prints, which were sent over to Jed a couple of weeks later.
