Whether you live there or you're just visiting, there is no way that you're going to be able to try all of them, so here's a list of 7 that you shouldn't miss out on. 1. Walk into the lobby of the Thompson Central Park Hotel turn left and you'll see some long, thick curtains, behind these curtains you'll find The Burger Joint. Here you can enjoy a delicious burger for around $9, they is also a plant-based burger for vegetarians, delicious milkshakes, and sweet potato fries. They also make a Brownie that, if you're watching weight or are just trying to remain trim, you are better off not trying. 3. For a Date Night. Everyone has heard of Chinatown, Koreatown, Little India, and Little Italy, but not many have heard of Little Spain. Mercado Little Spain is the brainchild of the famous Spanish chefs Ferran Adria and Jose Andres and all under one roof, it offers many different Spanish style restaurants including an Asador, it has different bars including a tapas bar, a wine bar, and a typical Spanish beach bar, and it even has kiosks that do Patatas Bravas and Churros and shops that sell a wide range of different Spanish products. If you and/or your date are food enthusiasts then Mercado Little Spain is 35,000sq ft of pure heaven. 4. For a Fine Dining Experience. Inside the Brooklyn Fare Market, hidden between aisles of breakfast cereals and fresh fruit and veg you'll find a restaurant called The Chef's Table. This restaurant has 3 Michelin stars and it offers a season-changing Japanese and French-inspired menu by chef Cesar Ramirez. You'll get a 15 dish tasting menu and wines from the 7,000 bottle wine cellar perfectly matched to each dish. The $395 price tag may seem steep, especially because it doesn't include a tax or a tip but as soon as you taste the first beautiful dish placed in front of you, you will discover that there is a huge difference between dining and just eating. 5. For Brunch. Take a walk down Morton Street in the West Village and you'll come across two park benches and an unmarked green door, open the door and go in and you'll find a romantic outdoor garden that belongs to the Hudson Clearwater restaurant. This modern restaurant is a wonderful place to go for a weekend brunch it offers an original menu, a varied wine list, and a refined and fairly reasonably priced dining experience. 6. For an adventure. Jekyll and Hyde Club Restaurant and Bar on 7th Avenue south offers a unique experience where anything can happen. The monstrous menu consists of 62 different dishes, including Frankensteins Favorite, The Mummy, and Create-Your-Own Monster Burger, and this together with live entertainment, a cast of full-time characters, creepy creatures, and spooky special effects will guarantee that although you may have the occasional scare, you'll have a deliciously entertaining time. 7. For the introvert. If you don't enjoy socializing but hate cooking for yourself even more, then Ichiran is the restaurant for you. In this restaurant, you can dine in what they call a "Ramen Focus Booth" which completely blocks you off from anyone else in the restaurant allowing you to fully enjoy your Ramen. You also write your order on a form, you can select the broth's strength and the noodle's texture to ensure you get the perfect bowl of Ramen without ever having to talk to anyone.
