Description: Hi Friends! Today we're heading back to 2015 where my story begins. To be honest, I am really nervous to publish this video. It's not easy to be vulnerable on the internet and to share something so personal. I know there are also various opinions about leaky gut / candida. In this video, I am sharing the information I was presented by my Naturopathic Doctor and the treatment plan I chose to follow. My hope by sharing this video is that if someone is going through a thyroid, fertility or health struggle that they do not feel so alone in their journey. This not medical advice. Please always consult with your healthcare professional for personal guidance and before beginning any new herb or supplement. **UPDATED*** Due to the high volume of emails I receive from this email asking for support I wanted to provide some helpful tips / resources below! 1. If you are newly diagnosed or not seeing progress with your current plan, I would suggest seeking out an Integrative Doctor, Functional Medical Doctor or Naturopathic Doctor. This health professional can run tests to help get to the root cause of your thyroid imbalance and provide the right / custom supplements for your health state and thyroid needs :) 2. We also offer virtual nutrition coaching at Healthy Grocery Girl. Our lead Dietitian is Jeni Hollifield and she is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Gut Health Expert and mainly works with clients for gut health, thyroid health and plant-based nutrition. Nutrition is a crucial piece of the puzzle when it comes to thyroid health. An RDN who specializes in this area can be a great part of your healthcare team in addition to an ND or MD. You can learn more about our services here healthygrocerygirl.com/services/nutrition-coaching & feel free to contact us here healthygrocerygirl.com/contact for a FREE discovery call to ask any questions, connect with Jeni and see if it would be a good fit before moving forward. 3. Continue to learn all that you can about autoimmune conditions, thyroid health and gut health from reputable and credentialed health care professionals. Nutrition and a health plan is not one-size-fits-all, so what may work for one person, may not be the best path for you. It can be a journey to find what foods, supplements etc support YOUR body best. 4. Stress reduction is a very important component for overall health. Find ways to lower stress in a healthy way. Work on emotional and mental wellness, which can affect your physical health as well. Wishing you the very best with your thyroid journey!!!!
