Description: Sharing about my recent IUD Insertion experience (IT HURTS) and side effects in today's video. About 2 weeks ago, I went to Planned Parenthood for an IUD insertion after deciding to get Mirena, one of the hormonal IUDs. The night before my appointment, I was getting nervous about it and opened pandora's box on the internet, searching for any and ALL stories from women who have had an IUD placed. I wish I had been told at Planned Parenthood how much it was going to hurt. When I was there, I wasn't told anything to expect in regard to pain, other than feeling a "slight pinch." Welp, that "pinch" was the worst physical pain I've ever felt in my life. Ugh. If you're planning to get an IUD, be aware that it will hurt. A lot.
