Description: After a 130-day build process, our 13-foot U.S.S. Kitty Hawk model took to the seas on Memorial Day 2013 thanks to a mixed team of RapidNadion personnel and helpful volunteers. No aircraft were embarked during this shakedown cruise, but we gained valuable insight into the vessel's handling, and isolated several build issues as well. More details on the shakedown cruise (and Kitty Hawk in general) will be shared in a future, longer video on the vessel's first underway. In the interim, enjoy this short cut of our super-sized aircraft carrier plying the Peconic, and stay tuned for air operations later this summer.
