Description: In 2017 we explored a bunker in Chatham Kent that is named dock road deep shelter, back then it was easy access (Update it’s been sealed tight) It’s has been said the lower level was as accommodation for the Royal Marines that were stationed near by. The upper level used as a clearing / cleaning station for a hospital nearby too. The main danger in this underground ww2 bunker it the main staircase into the bunker. It must be around 200 feel deep, original construction would have had the just a shaft without stairs the stairs added layer inside the shaft. The stairs are made out of wood and over the years these 70 plus year old staircases had been subjected to damage vie dry rot water and damp. Due to our entrance in we had to start at the bottom of this staircase and work out way up to the second level and then later right to the top.
