Description: I was recently contacted / hired by Bad Wolves to learn their set list. Their drummer, John Boecklin, hurt his back, & they were unsure if he'd be able to continue on tour. I learned ten songs over three days & was asked to remain on standby. Thankfully, in the week that followed, John's back started getting better, & he was able to push through. John & I got to talking a lot via text during that time and he is an INCREDIBLY nice guy. Needless to say, I'm glad that he was able to continue with his band! I recorded a few videos of my favorites from the set - this play-through of "Officer Down" is my second upload. These songs are fun as HELL to play! If you haven't heard of Bad Wolves, check out their debut album "Disobey" - it rules. In general, it was great getting to know / talking to some of the members - they're all incredibly professional & very nice guys. Additionally, their cover of "Zombie" by The Cranberries, & what they're doing with the proceeds (donating them to the family / children of Dolores O'Riordan) is truly amazing. Very standup guys to say the least! Mixing for this video was done by fellow Tama Artist / Sick Guy / GOOD BUDDY Anup Sastry. Anup killed it on the mix - drums are all natural except for the kick which is a natural / sample blend (ratio: 80% natural, 20% trigger).
