Description: I made this Xp Deus vs Vanquish 440 comparison for myself and people who like to watch how different metal detectors perform side by side, over the same targets, at the same time. Please keep in mind that soil conditions often influence the results. A detector that performed excellent in this particular soil (and weather!) condition may disappoint somewhere else (and vice versa). I tried to be fair to both machines. Target comparison can only be made during the same time. It's neither the amount nor the "quality" of finds. Many detectorists tend to run to an old spot with a new metal detector and declare every find as something the old unit wasn't able to find, while in reality all it takes is to sweep the coil from a different angle. Other factors like "time" and worms (or boars) that constantly shuffle the ground play a huge role as well. When people revisit a spot after months, they may also be unaware of previous detectorists. All it takes is to remove one chunk of iron, which completely changes future conditions for the guy who revisits an old spot with his brand new detector. I made a random choice of this particular spot, because I was about to visit it anyway in the future. The location also isn't steep, so I didn't had to carry both detectors up a hill from the bus stop. At some point in the video I flagged signals with numbers, to show that nothing (that may not favor one detector) was skipped under the carpet. I hope it wasn't too boring.
