Description: Q - How do I mentally handle the confused patient that constantly calls out for someone to sit with her and I can’t because there’s others. At the end of 12 hours I’m angry and guilty for feeling angry. I feel manipulated by this patient. I feel bad about my thoughts towards this patient. Others feel the same way on my shift. It’s so hard. So hard. You can change your thoughts and feelings. But not with the same judgments and beliefs you are using at this time. In order to bring to fruiting a healing and zest for your life and career, you must become conscious of what thoughts are creating pain. Remember - No matter what is going on on the outside - this is an inside game. Because it is our - thoughts, patterns habits and beliefs which are creating our reality. Once you take your power back and accept responsibility - you can bring about a new life and with more energy and power than ever before. There are many actions that I will not take, they include: Complaining to other people about this problem. When this is done you are reliving it and bringing it into your awareness as is even more. Do react to the problem emotionally and neutralize it if you do. We know that we have the power to influence our environment - this is not theory - this is science. Dr. Masauro Emoto proved that human consciousness has an effect of the molecular structure of water. He found that thoughts of anger would make unformed, disrupted and chaotic patterns. While words, thoughts and prayers of love, peace, joy and others would create the most beautiful crystalline structures. Guess what - we are made up of 70% water - so whether you realize it or not - we are shaping the world around us, for the good or bad. We live in the world of effects, and while sometimes this is a thought that brings us into a state of depression, it does not have to! It is not about stress management, for this is not an exciting or motivating concept. It is about changing your energetic vibration, so that you can attract more of the situations that you would like to experience. Science if proving many times over that when they go deeper and deeper into physical matter.... Well there is no matter, only vibration - they may call this the: particle theory, string theory, wave particle duality. Or use other scientific terms that we do not understand. However, the reality is, there is nothing there except vibration. Therefore, if you want to change your life circumstances and what you experience on the outside. You have one thing and only one thing to focus on - your vibrational signature… it is that simple. So how do I do that? Whenever I have a patient who is trying to take energy away or make me feel guilty. I immediately create an imaginary protective wall around myself, then I do not react to their attacks. If I do feel anger or reaction build up inside of me, I do my best to reverse this by visualizing the anger being vaporized with love. Then, I go into the bathroom or any quiet room I can find; close my eyes and start imagining my love expanding outside of me, it gets so big that it is expanding beyond the bathroom, beyond the hospital, beyond the town where I am, beyond the state that I am in, beyond my country, beyond my world, beyond our galaxy and beyond the universe… then I see a point where there is only light and love. In this moment, I imagine what I want to see. I want to see this patient happy and calm. So I imagine that and I feel just how amazing this is. I replace my guilt and shame with love, joy and peace. Then I ask for guidance on how to achieve that. Sometimes this may be a quick answer other times the answers may come to you in bits and pieces. It is important to be looking out for the answers, because they will come to you. Sometimes to clear longer standing issues, I do this while I’m working out. I think that the release of endorphins helps me feel spiritually connected much quicker and stronger. Some answers that have come to me have been - take your patient with you so that she can see you. I did this by placing her in a wheelchair and wheeling her with me from room to room. She was waiting for me in the hallway smiling because she got out of the room and could see me. I was also able to care for my other patients because I was mobile! Other answers that have come to me is to question whether all of their physical needs were met. Do they need to be changed are they hungry - is their room as nurturing as can be? Yet other ideas that have come to me is calling their loved ones and asking if they could talk to them for a little while. One time I did this and I had a patient's daughter give me 10 different numbers of friends she had; we called each of them one by one and I saw a side of my patient that I had never seen before… There have been times were the only answer that came to me was to keep on - keeping on and request to not have this patient again tomorrow - this is completely ok to do.
