Description: Chinese civilization is often debated over whether its inventions and developments were due to its own internal abilities. The Chinese call themselves superior to other civilizations. However, if I were to tell you that there was a time in ancient China when women were considered inferior and burdensome in society. Even a woman was considered a sinner or her birth was considered an expiation for her sins. When and how the patriarchal system came into Chinese society, history is silent on this matter, but early evidence suggests that the region had traditions of the Madras system, such as archeologists excavating a queen's tomb during the reign of the Shang dynasty. Discovered where his jewelry, his belongings, his carriage and his servants to serve him in the next world were buried at the same time. Perhaps this situation gradually changed and the motherhood was replaced by the fatherhood, in which the social status of the woman continued to decline and the woman was not considered capable of protecting herself independently. Therefore, realizing her weakness, the woman accepted the man's supremacy. It was said that the birth of a woman was the result of the sins of her first birth, due to which she was changed from a man to a woman. Due to this tradition, the woman also began to consider herself a sinner. There were some families who killed the girl at birth. To him, the birth of a girl was a sign of bad luck. But in spite of these unfortunate circumstances, the existence of woman was essential for the continuity of society and family. Therefore, an attempt was made to mold the character of the woman in such a way that the man would accept her. In this regard, in childhood, the girl's legs were tied tightly with cloth straps. This was given the form of a formal ritual called parabandi. In this painful process, the girl had to go through severe pain because it was impossible to walk with her feet wrapped in bandages. The ritual was started in the 10th century AD by the dancers of the royal family who danced beautifully because of their small legs. Chinese men found it romantic to walk with small feet, and the practice spread throughout China. The difference was that palanquins were used for the girls of the princes to go out while tying their ankles, but the poor peasant girls could hardly drive with the help of sticks. Due to this practice, women are sometimes disabled for life. Another important ritual was that when a girl reached puberty, her hair was paired and clipped, which was a sign that the girl was ready for marriage. In addition, at the time of a baby's birth, her horoscope was made by an astrologer and then those who had a professional relationship would look for a husband according to it. And often in childhood, girls were tied in marriage. Eventually the Communist Revolution took place in 1949 and all these rituals were abolished and women were given their rights and today Chinese women are making a name for themselves in the world.
