Description: 3 days out in cold blizzard, camping on my winter bushcraft base camp, enjoying the comforts of an old school canvas wall tent and a wood stove on the final weeks of the winter season. The snow has been coming and going lately, but as you can see in the video, the snow dropped generously on this second day of the trip. On the first evening I melt 3 different cheeses and bake a loaf of rustic bread using a dutch oven. It was beyond delicious. As long as you keep the cheese pan close to the fire the cheese stays melted and ready to be scooped up with the bread. Perfect food if like me, you are gonna paint for hours in the cold. I took the cheese pan at night and placed it next to the wood stove and munched on bread and cheese in the warmth of the tent. I don't usually sleep with my stove on relying on my sleeping bag for heat instead, its safer that way. I woke up in the middle of the night with the wind howling and got out to get some of the snow off the roof, but next morning it had about 12" of snow on it again . Thats a lot of weight, but it was no problem for the well built canvas tent. It's always surreal how the landscape changes overnight with a heavy snowstorm. The second day was spent gathering / chopping wood and cooking a hearty chilli. Relaxing good times.
