It's one of Japan's most intimidating attractions, regardless of how widely available the game is. Pachinko parlors are sprinkled throughout every major city in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka), and can be found in many smaller villages as well. Being alone in one at night was very different from the usual deafening experience of pachinko.
