One Tree Planted is working with the local community to restore 45 hectares of the Manchón Guamuchal mangrove forest in Guatemala. The donation we make will make it possible to plant, nurture, and monitor over 150,000 mangrove trees, which will provide numerous ecological benefits, including increased biodiversity, climate change mitigation, decreased erosion, enhanced water quality, and more, which in turn benefits the communities that rely on these forests to survive.
