Description: The Kat Song by Valeryan. The Story behind the video from Valeryan Those who love cats know you can never own them. Those who love cats know they very soon make you their adoring slaves - and believe me I should know! My song tells the story of how the very first stray just turned up at my house in the middle of the English countryside and adopted me and my family. The lyric relates how over the years many more strays have found us and have been taken in and loved. I never cease to be amazed how it just keeps on happening. US based Gary Quinn and I collaborated during the making of the video passing ideas back and forth across The Big Pond for almost a year before he had the inspiration of using pictures of real cats with real names and doted on by real people. Using Social Media we asked cat loving friends, mostly as it happens musicians, singers, songwriters, poets, radio presenters and painters from all over the world, to send us pictures of their little ones, along with each cat’s name. We were both totally amazed by the truly wonderful response to our request and, after sorting and collating thoroughly, we came up with the sequence of those who appear. Gary made many collages to save space so we could include at least one pictures of every cat sent to us. While almost every one of them has his or her name next to them, many of the tiny kittens were unnamed and remain anonymous little bundles of fur. We’ve listed the various cat slaves in the credits too …. with their permission of course. There must be getting on for 100 little furry ones featured, 87 or so are named and they live or have lived as far apart as USA, UK, Italy, Thailand, Australia and Canada. #InternationalCatDay For more info on our great videos and exciting clips please...
