Description: Gaming PC's are normally super expensive, but they don't have to be! In this video, I take an 8 year old computer and add a few components in order to get it to play more modern games. Of course, something like this isn't very common to find, but if you keep your eyes peeled, you may find a gem like this! It's the old optiplex 980 by Dell, and it works great! I could have made this a lot cheaper if I didn't include bluetooth, wifi, and a hard drive, but I want this computer to actually be usable, not just cheap. I probably could have built it for less than $150 if I did that, but some features are almost needed. I probably would have left some features out if I'm going to use it in the future, but it's going off to a friend, and I don't know how he'll be using it, so I added more standard features. Total parts list and cost: * Dell Optiplex 980 with 255W PSU, i7 870, 16GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, and case - $15 * Test GPU - $5 * Well-used GTX 750 TI - $65 * SD card reader - $10 * 1TB Hard Drive - $50 * 128GB Crucial M4 SSD from a friend - $20 * Wifi card - $17 * USB bluetooth adapter - $7 Total Cost: $189 Music Used: soundcloud.com/maxvic/calm-electronic-royalty-free soundcloud.com/maxvic/bouncing-relaxing-modern-fashion If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments section, because I read pretty much every comment.
