Description: This is a favorite chutney for dosa / idli lovers in south India. It is a simple dish with shallots / small onion, red chilli powder and salt. We will take you through how to prepare this. Add 1 cup of shallots or small onion, 1 tbsp of red chilli powder and a little salt in a blender. 2. Grind this into a coarse paste and transfer it into a bowl and keep aside. 3. Now heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a thick bottomed pan over medium flame. 4. Add the chutney into the pan 5. Stir continuously and sauté this for 3-4 minutes and turn off the flame. 6. Onion chutney is ready to serve. 7. This would go well with dosa or idli.
