Description: HEY YOU!!: I decided to go ahead and post this video after a lot of deliberation. I'm not my most optimistic self in this and I know that. I was trying my best to be positive as Art Block began to set in and carry though so it might not make for the most enjoyable watch. However, I found something extremely interesting. In the moment, while filming, I thought I was creating trash. (in a way only an artist can understand, like literal BURN IT WITH FIRE, I'm-ashamed-I-made-this trash.) It was the formation of art-block in real time. And as I filmed I got more and more discouraged. Tepid every time Id start a new sketch. When I 'finished' filming, i figured it was a throw away. Some reason, I decided to review it before making that decision. I found that almost everything I was thinking in the moment made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. Sure there were a couple lines out of place or things I could have done better. But that's the case with every single time I sit down to draw. Now that I was further away from the project I was able to see it for what it was, not through the lens of my strange emotional turmoil, which I call lovingly: Art Block. I think there is a lesson to be learned that if you are feeling extremely negative and discouraging thoughts in the middle of a project. It might not be turning out as badly as you think. Push through if you think you are able or take a break and come back to it with fresh eyes. You might be surprised what it looks like tomorrow.
