Description: In July 1971 a 36-year-old mother from St Louis, Missouri called Sally Lucas went missing. She had been driving a green 1969 Pontiac and several weeks later her Pontiac was discovered in Panama Beach, Florida, and sleeping inside the car was an ex-con by the name of Anthony Damico. When the police searched Damico he had only eighteen cents in his pocket and two credit cards that belonged to Sally Lucas. Damico claimed that he had met Sally Lucas along with three hippies and they were all headed for Miami and later dropped the four of them off under a bridge in West Memphis, Tennessee, and he then drove on to Florida. His description of Sally Lucas was the total opposite of what she was like, which was a doting mother of two daughters who would never have associated with hippies and was in fact a socialite.
