Description: Ocean Waves feels like a very different type of movie from Studio Ghibli. In a library of films that look back to the magic of childhood, Ocean Waves dared to look forward, to the relative mundanity of adulthood. As a teenager I wrote it off as the 'one bad Ghibli movie', but now - nearly twenty years later - I've rediscovered it as a new favourite. Today I'm hoping to get anyone who wrote it off in a similar manner to perhaps give it another chance as well.
