Description: Here it is! Finally, you can watch some awesome people raise the beams and trusses on our timber frame and steel dream workshop. It all went very smoothly. (A couple of chisel moments still counts as smoothly.) And we're thrilled! Enjoy! That was our loose rule. May the experience itself and the gift of their own generosity bless them all!! --I couldn't get this to read on the video, but the way they got the backhoe to reach high enough was (a) custom rigging and (b) putting blocks under the outriggers. Forrest and Scott were helped by my nephew, Ben Perry -- way to go, nephew!!! -- and the three of them worked it out with a measuring tape while everybody else was doing bolts. --Yes, there is a roof on in one of the last stills. That happened seamlessly from the raising and is one of a few reasons this video is so late. We've been working really hard. --If Milo seemed a little forceful in this one, his feelings about this frame raising are complicated. He was Nick's right hand man a minute ago, and now here are all these buff grown-ups marching up and down ladders with tools! He's going to be fine, but he wanted to make sure you all remembered that HE made those trusses. :) --Our friend Forrest is now back home, just today, and I am sad. But also I will have sleep again.
