Description: The DARPA OPS-5G Program: A Collaboration between Government and the Open Source Community - Michael August, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific The DARPA OPS-5G program is developing security enhancements for the 5G System in multiple areas. Within this program, DARPA is working closely with the Linux Foundation to foster collaboration between government and the open source community, and to transition its developments to industry via an open source ecosystem. In this session, I will introduce the OPS-5G program, talk about how DARPA is collaborating with the Linux Foundation, present the Linux Foundation's 5G Super Blueprint, and discuss how we are using the 5G Super Blueprint to create the DoD's first multi-site 5G prototype network. For more information about fostering collaboration and innovation across the entire open networking stack — from the data plane into the control plane, to orchestration, automation, end-to-end testing, and more see lfnetworking.org or lfedge.org
