Description: In this video Guitarist Mariano Delgado demonstrates Study 5 of 12 from the JazzDuets Next Level Minor Chord techniques course originally written for Saxophone. (now available in tabs) In this study 2 sounds are featured. 1) Bb and C major Triad pairs are superimposed over the F minor Base. This sketches out a bright Melodic Minor sound. 2) F minor and G Major Triad pairs over the F minor base. These triads together produce an exotic, uncommon sound over the F minor, that is reminiscent of Erik Satie´s Gnossienne no 3 that features the #4 on the Minor. Words to describe the feeling this G triad over F minor- Foreign, Exotic, Non conformist. Satie Scale improvisational video: youtube.com/watch?v=UR3HuJtZB1g&t=2s THE SITUATION Imagine a dinner party has started. The mood of the party is on the sober side. These 2 triad people entering are in quite different moods. The F- triad person blends perfectly in and is almost invisible! The G major person is wearing bright clothes and speaks out freely and happily without a care for the others which raises eyebrows! ▶️ Check the Sax, Trumpet, Bass, Guitar and Flute multi version here: youtube.com/watch?v=2oYIrjGEl0A ✅ Download the PDF and demonstration Mp3 files here: jazzduets.com/collections/advanced/products/10-ideas-to-solo-on-a-minor-vamp-digital-pdf Is this familiar? Often when learning Jazz we can become stuck improvising the same scale over certain chords, for example always playing the F minor dorian over F-7. This is a great sound, but where are the Jazzy, Exotic colours that masterful improvisors use that really move and inspire listeners, and take their listeners on a journey far away from their daily lives? The Next level Minor Techniques course is the REMEDY to this less than ideal situation, teaching you some of the Jazziest, Hippest sounding possibilities to use when improvising! 🔴 Check Out the Next Level Minor Chord Techniques Online course: jazzduets.com/pages/next-level-minor-chord-techniques ▶️ Check out my foundational Soul Scale Improvisational course: jazzduets.com/pages/jazzduets-soul-scale-course-foundations ▶️ Check out my Triad Pair Thesaurus: jazzduets.com/pages/thesaurus-compendium 🔴 Sign up here to receive the free class of the minor chord techniques course! manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/subscribe?a=JtBpxG&g=TUfW2f Visit Jazzduets site : jazzduets.com #guitar #Jazz #study
