Description: Shortbread cookie dough base. If you have any plan of baking cookies with kids for the Holidays, this is my trusted recipe. Never fails. Last week I prepared more than 100 cookies to give as gifts. Today I would like to share with you the base recipe. In the next post we will decorate the cookies. 🎄 The base is very versatile and you can change the flavor simply adding a mix of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom) or vanilla or lemon zest or cocoa powder or ginger or orange zest or almond extract… 🎄The shape of the cookie cutter will decide the holiday to celebrate (Christmas, valentine, Easter, birthdays, spring…) 🎄 This time I would not suggest substitutions. I tried many but to be honest with you the best flavor is keeping all the ingredients. Lol, Xmas comes once a year! 😉 🎄 You can prepare the dough way in advance and freeze it or refrigerate it.
