Description: It’s #selfcaresunday and I’m sharing some of my favourite ways to practice #selflove Visit loveamika.com/krystal to get your hands on the incredible Brooklyn Hustle Holiday Set for $28 (reg $49) and use code ‘KRYSTAL10’ to save! Disclaimer: This video is in partnership with #amika and is a sponsored promotion of their Brooklyn Hustle Haircare Bestsellers Starter Set. On Sundays I slow down and take special time for me and listed below are some of my favourite ways to spend that time: ❤️ Extra Haircare I love doing the occasional hair mask and adding a little extra TLC to my hair routine! I used the #amika Brooklyn Hustle haircare bestsellers starter set which includes: •Perk Up Dry Shampoo 5.3 oz / 232 ml Hands down THE BEST dry shampoo I’ve ever used! •Soulfood Nourishing Mask 3.3oz / 100ml Love that this mask doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy afterwards! My hair is always so soft after I use it💓 •Supernova Moisture and Shine Cream 1oz / 30ml I’ve not used this product much as I didn’t use a lot of cream products on my long hair. But now that my hair is shorter I can see me grabbing for this A LOT more! It’s perfect to add hydration and shine back into my bleach blonde ends👌🏼 I don’t utilize a lot of products on a daily basis, so on Sunday’s I really enjoy playing around with extra products and having a good in-depth haircare session! Amika products smell incredible and are always enjoyable products to use 🥰 ❤️ Skincare I have fallen in love with my skincare routine, and even more so since quarantine started! My routine is pretty in-depth most days, but on Sunday’s I enjoy adding some additional steps and trying new products! I used the Sand & Sky Tasmanian Spring Water Splash Serum & Hydration Boost Cream and have only used this a few times now. I really liked the smell and found the products to add a ton of glow and moisture to my skin 🤩 Have you tried these new products from Sand & Sky ? ❤️ A hot beverage I LOVE to pair my self care routine with a good cup of coffee or nice warm tea and actually sit down to enjoy it ☕️🍵 My days are usually so scattered and busy that I end up forgetting I’ve even poured myself a drink and it sits on a counter somewhere getting cold 🥶 Anyone else?! Lol I made myself a cup of David’s Tea Organic Super Ginger and put it in a cute cup (I’m pretty sure it’s a wine tumbler 🤔 it worked 🤷🏼‍♀️😂) I received the cup in PR a while back and can’t remember where it’s from. ❤️ Essential Oils & nice smells On Self Care Sunday I like to treat all my senses and always include something that smells good into my routine. Often I opt for essential oils over wearing perfume, but love incorporating both! I used the Saje ‘Tranquility’ relaxing diffuser blend to set the tone and create a more relaxed space for listening to my audio book. Other Saje blends that I enjoy using are in the little rollerball’s! I like to apply them directly under my nose to distract from an anxiety attack. I know that’s not where most ppl would apply them, but it’s something that’s worked well for me☺️ I use the Saje ‘Stress Release’, ‘Sleep Well’ and ‘Peppermint Halo’ for headaches (it’s INCREDIBLE!) ❤️ Audio Books I’ve only started listening to Audio Books in this last year and I’ve quickly become HOOKED!! I love listening to books about mental wellness, self care and personal growth💕 I am currently listening to ‘The Power of Vulnerability’ by Brené Brown on Audible and have found it so insightful! I’ve noticed I have a hard time hearing what I’m listening to when I multitask and so it forces me to sit down and take it all in. If I pair my listening with time outside looking up at the clouds or just admiring nature in general, it creates a mind/body/soul experience that has been very healing 🥰 Other Audio books I recommend: ‘Untethered Soul’ By Michael A. Singer ‘The Wisdom of Sunday’s’ By Oprah Winfrey ‘Let that Shit Go!” By Nina Purewal & Kate Petriw ‘The Surrender Experiment’ By Michael A Singer ❤️ A simple beauty routine Applying my makeup has always been a time that I enjoy and is an activity that I can really zone out during! I’v rarely been wearing a full face of makeup lately and often enjoy doing something more natural when I do do it. So I thought I’d share this ultra natural makeup look as it’s not something I see a lot of on social media. Using the Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment as a concealer is a fun little trick and one I’m excited to share✨ I also used: •L’Oréal’s Air Volume Mega Mascara •Bare Minerals Strength & Length Serum-infused brow gel (to help my brow hair grow!) •Milk Makeup KUSH Lip Balm ‘CANNATONIC’ ❤️ A hot shower Everytime I write in my gratitude journal, a hot shower comes to mind as something I am always grateful for 🙏🏼 Nothing quote beats it! Especially not during our Canadian winters 🥶 lol #routine
