Description: In the 1860 miners flocked to the San Bernardino Mountains in search of gold and the dream of sticking it rich. We set out in the New Ford Bronco and my wife's Jeep Wrangler JL to go explore the Gold Fever trail along Holcomb Valley 3N16 in Big Bear California and check out some of the many historic gold rush stops along the way. Just 2 days before Big Bear had a major winter snow storm, so this added a little more danger to traveling these usually easy, now slick, icy and muddy trails.
