Description: I decided to recycle and restore an old axe head (hatchet) the head was very rusty and had a bolt holding it together because there was a crack through the butt. After restoration I fitted a new handle but I didn’t make my own (too lazy), I did make my own leather sheath which I thought turned out very nice Wetterling axe making wetterlings.com/how-to 00:00 Intro 00:12 Ground down and welded 02:39 stress removal using the blacksmiths forge 03:53 Hardened and tempered 04:57 Cleaning and finishing 05:54 Fitting the handle 09:24 Sharpening and treating the handle 10:47 Making the leather sheath 13:46 Links facebook.com/Projectmayhemuk-1674753232774151 twitter.com/sean_beardon
