Description: Peter Dinklage gets a movie-star vehicle worthy of his skills in this drama/comedy/musical reimagining of Rostand's "Cyrano DeBergerac" as the titular tragicomic hero; a quick-witted swashbuckling poet and soldier none the less wracked by self-doubt who offers to ghostwrite love letters for a well-meaning but slow-witted friend - despite the recipient being the woman Cyrano has always been too afraid to confess his own lifelong feelings for. A breezy crowd-pleaser from director Joe Wright, anchored by an all-stops lead performance, easily one of the year's best films.
