Description: I'm Proud To Be...Harrased? What gives? YouTube put together the #ProudToBe Campaign as part of Pride Month and as a way to commemorate the horrible shooting in Orlando. And they did so with nothing but the best intentions, I'm absolutely sure of that. But what happened next was far from ideal. In fact, I would argue that the #ProudToBe campaign turned out to be harmful ini some ways, since it prompted a coordinated attack by a group of 4Chan users who wanted to bully LGBT creators back into silence. So what did YouTube do to try and help us out? Not enough, I think.
