Description: Troy Wright from the Gold Coast, Australia. facebook.com/troywrightdrums twitter.com/troywrightdrums instagram.com/troywrightdrums wrightdrums.com ____________________________________________ Normally when playing a groove the left hand follows many of the patterns and phrases the right hand and the kick are doing. What I'm doing here is being more consciously aware of what my left (snare) hand is doing rather than naturally letting those ghost notes fill in the gaps. What happens with this train of thought is you get leading patterns with the snare that the right hand feeds off those patterns! Lots of fun, something different. I came across this song by Porter Robinson and it suited my vibe at the time so this is the intro of the song with those thoughts in mind! Hope you enjoy! *Filmed, recorded, mixed and edited by Troy Wright at Wright Drumming Studios Gold Coast, Australia GEAR: I proudly endorse and exclusively use Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Remo Skins, Promark Sticks, Shure Microphones and Hardcase Cases.
