Description: Manufacturing high-end flagship phones probably never costs more than about $200-300, cease cloning Apple's overpriced phones business model, Google shouldn't take a profit on hardware sales, when their core competency is to be an advertising company. Regardless if Google sells 100 thousand phones at $999 or 100 million phones at $299, R&D costs are a fixed cost. Software development costs are fixed too and part of the overall Android development. By placing large quantity orders with the SoC Fab (Samsung Semi), with the display supplier (BOE/LG/JDI or whoever it might be), memory, battery, camera sensor and etc etc, the cost per unit at manufacturing can come down rapidly and dramatically, even during the global chip shortage. Those cost savings, Google should give those to the consumers worldwide. Google must sell this phone in every country in the world from day1. Just increase manufacturing capacity by 100x, increase component orders by 100x, sell all these phones worldwide, Google will increase its advertising revenues and profits accordingly. I have been suggesting this startegy for Google for over a decade, same mistake Google has been making selling overpriced Google Pixelbook Chromebooks over the past several years, and their total failure (in terms of ecosystem development/features) in the Smart TV/Chromecast and Smart Speaker market. I could go on to explain how I see Google's hardware failures over the past decade in future videos if you are interested to hear my more detailed opinions on those.
