The body is made from a lamination of some amazing looking pallet wood including cherry, oak, maple, mahogany, pine, alder, poplar, and probably a few other species. The blank for the body was something that I made in my shop and then brought it to my buddy Tim where he showed me how to turn it into a guitar and I helped a little bit. The body was shaped with a CNC and branded with a laser engraver and then the organic shapes were carved by hand. The neck of the guitar is one that we reclaimed from another guitar, did we take the easy way out? Yes, but I never do that so I figure this is my chance for once! Also, Tim said that he always recommends with anyone's first guitar build they should just buy a pre-made neck and then if you make another one (and you will), then try building the entire thing from scratch that time. ► Full build article - bit.ly/2KiILtu Notable Materials & Tools used on this build: Materials - Pallet wood goo.gl/maps/wmJSf6YkiEp - Wood glue amzn.to/2PaeJrm - Guitar neck and strings - Guitar pickup - Copper tape amzn.to/2UzlFUZ - Input jack & controls - Tung oil finish amzn.to/2DeRYxw Tools - Bluetooth hearing protection bit.ly/2X9SoNt - Bar clamp bit.ly/2ZlkJSW - Crosscut sled bit.ly/2Imq72F - Silicone project mat bit.ly/2PdhFng - Pipe clamps amzn.to/2PaSwtp - Glue spreader bottle bit.ly/2G7Fete - Glue scraper amzn.to/2ImgTDU - Laser engraver - CNC router - Angle grinder carving disk amzn.to/2IobgF4 - Random orbit sander amzn.to/2XcEmui - Bench cookies bit.ly/2UBRBbo - Sanding sponge amzn.to/2IkdVzI ———————————— \\\\\ GENERAL PANDERING LINKS \\\\\ ■ Website - jackmanworks.com ■ YouTube - youtube.com/jackmanworks ■ Instagram - instagram.com/jackman_works ■ Twitter - twitter.com/jackmanworks ■ GIFs - giphy.com/channel/jackmanworks ■ Facebook - facebook.com/jackmanworks Plans, stickers, t-shirts, etc: jackmanworks.com/shop Shoutout to my top Patreon supporters! - Dave Soetanto - Jerome Lauzon - Leif Hietala - Steven Ingles - Gordon Crago - Jeffery Nichols - Shawn Rose - Riley Conway at Conworks Design - Diane Beene - Scott Brooks - Terre Tulsiak - Greg Gilhooly - Chad from ManCrafting ———————————— \\\\\ MUSIC \\\\\ ■ Jobii - Duck in a Box ■ Johannas Bornlof - Hordes ■ Wellmess - I'm a Hurricane Music from Epidemic Sound.
