Clips of Note: World War 2 Invasion of the USSR every day - Stimme der Vernunft youtube.com/watch?v=bI9Vo35QKE8 Music: Shostakovich: Symphony #07 youtube.com/watch?v=cE8H19qEpW0&t=2140s Normundy: Atlas youtube.com/watch?v=99LRvS3MF1s This wasn't a video I really planned on doing, I was really happy with and had a lot of fun making the Barbarossa series and felt the way it ended was sound. However, a month or two ago the host of the "Stories of the Second World War" podcast reached out to me and asked if I wanted to do an episode with him. After a few E-Mails back and fourth, we settled on the topic of Barbarossa and making it a kind of wrap up to the series. So it's a very different kind of video to what I normally do, with no jokes and more academic discussion, but I'm really happy with it and it has made me think that I may do something like this with the end of series in general. Obviously not on a podcast or necessarily with anyone else in the video, but possible answering questions and responding to comments I see repeated on the videos multiple times in the previous videos. So if you don't mind, let me know what you all think of this and if you would like to see this kind of thing in the future. If I do more they will be much more similar to my normal videos but keep the more academic aim. On an unrelated note, does anyone read these? I mentioned it in the NI video, but apparently tags don't really do much for your video anymore since people spam them, and next to the title, the description is what really gets your video connected to search results. So I've been putting the "Tags" in the description as well and will be under the links below. As a result of giving the description more attention because of that, I've been writing actual descriptions as well talking about the video and want to know if anyone is reading them. So if you are, would you kindly comment "The Panzer II is on fire"? I just want to get a rough idea if anyone does. I know generally I sure don't unless I have a question about something in the video and like, want to know the title of a song that is in it. I am very much in the minority in that though because I list all notable clips and music I use and constantly still get comments asking about it so I know it's really not that common. It makes me feel bad for Ian from Forgotten Weapons, because he writes really detailed descriptions about everything he covers in the video, but nobody probably really reads them. Even if nobody does I'm still going to do it. I really like getting conversational with them like this. There's a channel called Funhaus that I watch a lot and they really get conversational and meme all their descriptions with stuff like " Enough already. James' sexuality is none of our business. So what if he's only attracted the veiny crease formed between bicep and forearm while making a muscle. Good for him. More non-muscle creases for the rest of us." and other than that only has twitter links and I really like them memeing their descriptions to that level. They also do multi part stories over like twenty video descriptions with links to the videos the previous parts are linked below it. it's really cool. I probably won't get that intricate, but I like doing more with them than I did before. While I'm here I'm going to go ahead and list my "Tags". Potential History, Meme Tanks, Barbarossa, Eastern Front, Red Army, WW2, Wehrmacht, Panzer, T-34, KV-1, KV-2. Anyways, Thanks for watching and Reading. See you on the next one. Don't forget to comment! Even if it's bad, I like to hear from everyone. Ten history boi points to the first person to name the background music. P.O.Box: Potential History P.O.
