Launching straight into any of those scenarios without first running through a couple of warm-up exercises for guitar always leads to me feeling dissatisfied with the quality of my playing and for obvious reasons - I'm rushing into them COLD. As a result, my hands aren't synchronised with each other, my bending sounds awful and the technique in general is just downright sloppy. So, recently I've made a rule for myself which is that the first time I pick up my guitar each day, I HAVE to spend 5 minutes or so running through just 2-3 warm-up exercises that will get my fretting and picking hands nice and warmed up before commencing a practice session, rehearsal or going to play a gig. Today, I'm sharing with you the two exercises I'm currently running each day for my minimalist warm-up routine. One comes from a video on my friend @R.J.
