Description: ORIGINAL VIDEO youtube.com/watch?v=FpduBFVw8XY Hey guys! Welcome to another episode of Making The Trailer. I've been a YouTuber for the past 7 years and focus primarily on parody work and fan trailers. In this series I take a look back at some of my popular videos and try to explain a little about the creative process. The idea for a Nanny trailer has been floating around my head since 2015. I finally kicked it off last year (end of 2018) and was really happy with the finished product. I wrote a new theme song and hired a super talented vocalist to record it for me. I then spent the next 6 weeks hand animating the intro theme. Primarily I'm most skilled as a video editor (animation isn't my strongest suit), but I found this video really helpful in developing my skills. All of my videos are primarily created using Adobe After Effects and I'm self taught (through YouTube tutorials). In regards to this trailer for The Nanny, this video is especially significant because the original creator of the series (Peter Marc Jacobson) actually posted a link to this and remarked on my work. The Nanny has a strong cult following and I've seen many "reaction" videos to this trailer. It's been really positively received and has of my best like/dislike ratios. Moving forward I'm going to continue creating these "making of videos" for two reasons. One is to make my channel a little more person. And two, is to show YouTube the incredible amount of work I put into each of my videos.
