Description: In this third video on making solid tungsten carbide tools in your own shop, I show how to shape and sharpen a small gouge made of high quality carbide. Learn how to make simple tools for power honing of both inside and outside curved surfaces. Amazingly, carbide can be cut and shaped just as quickly as steel, and yet will stay sharp up to 100 times longer. You don’t need a lot of specialized equipment, and the diamond stones and blades you will need have become extremely affordable. This video builds on material presented in the two earlier videos, so be sure to watch them first.
