Description: 🔴 Share this on your SEWCIAL MEDIA...see what I did there? 🔴 No longer do you have to settle for "slim-fit" or "athletic fit" shirts that aren't at all! In this video I'm going to show you how to tailor any t-shirt to fit you PERFECTLY! My Measurements: Target Lyndale T-shirt - size large, measure and pin from the bottom up. Put the sewing pins in at: 1 inch \ 4 inches \ 8 inches \ 12 inches \ 16 inches \ 18 inches (2.54 cm \ 10 cm \ 20 cm \ 30.5 \ 40 cm \ 45.5 cm) Move the pins in to: .5 inches \ 1 inch \ 2 inches \ 1.25 inches \ 1 inch \ .5 inches (1.27 cm \ 2.54 cm \ 5 cm \ 3. cm \ 2.5 cm \ 1.27 cm The idea is to give your shirt a more flattering taper with the pins. **********These are MY measurements that I like, and yours might vary greatly depending on your size shirt and the size of...well...you! There are no rules to getting the fit you want at all. It doesn't have to be slim fit, you can. make your shirt slightly more fitted If you want. See how you feel about the fit when you try it on. If it feels too tight or too loose in certain areas take the shirt off and move the pins in or out by .5 to 1 (or more) inches. NOTHING is permanent until you start cutting so even if you put a straight stitch on it and it's too tight (or loose) you can remove the stitch and start over. Plus the shirt was $6... **Once you get your measurements right, write them down, that way you can buy the same (or similar) shirt in the same size and skip measuring altogether, you're welcome! There is an alternative stitch you can use on the side seam called a narrow zigzag stitch as well. It will allow your side seam to stretch and move without running the risk of breaking. I've used a straight stitch dozens of times without issue but the risk is there of a blow out. For the narrow zigzag stitch put your stitch width to 1 when making the zigzag. Straight Stitch Settings: Stitch Length - 2.5 Stitch Width - NA (does not apply to a straight stitch Stitch Tension - 4-6 Universal Needle Polyester Thread ZigZag Stitch Settings: Stitch Length - Still 2.5 Stitch Width - 5 (your machine might vary by 1 or 2 numbers, so test it) Stitch Tension - 4-6 Same needle and thread Remember, once you add that straight stitch, if you don't like the fit it's not permanent!! Just use a seam ripper and measure and start over again. Now you're gonna have a tailoring addiction... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- //WATCH NEXT: ○ Sweatpants To Slim Fit Joggers - youtu.be/T6nRUr_YzUM ○ Dress Shirt Tailoring Tutorial (NO MACHINE NEEDED) - youtu.be/I8IimTNEi4A ○ T-Shirt Slimming Tutorial - youtu.be/r7ZH-Yo-jHw ○ Hoodie Tailoring Tutorial- youtu.be/FgOfh0AtNeQ 🔴 Subscribe here - youtube.com/c/stylishdad?sub_confirmation=1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just want to say THANK YOU? - paypal.me/AStylishD //CONTACT Business inquires: Business@Stylishdtailors.com Come to say hi!: Hello@Stylishdtailors.com //Mail: PO Box 1085 Chanhassen, MN 35210 🔴 Beginner’s tailoring course - bit.ly/2UkSUJ0 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases 👊🏾GREAT Beginners Sewing Machine - amzn.to/3GKKEsq 👊🏾DIY Hand Sewing Kit - amzn.to/3fGx39G 👊🏾Heavy Duty Sewing Machine -amzn.to/3KsW6Lq --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brush patterns and shapes were provided by brusheezy.com
