Description: Here's a classic by Rachel Platten that we enjoyed in our #Makaton #choir last year It's an incredibly tricky song to translate (especially in the verses) as it's so jam-packed with metaphors. As you know, wherever possible, we try and explain & convey the meaning of the lyrics. So for example for 'wrecking balls' in the brain we sign WORRY, for 'fire burning in my bones' we've used BRAVE. The opening lines are the hardest though and we've tried to show how we think she's explaining how insignificant she's feeling and she's in emotional turmoil (hence signing MANY + FEELINGS. There are no signs for boats and waves. We've used the sign for STRUGGLE in the chorus rather than quarrel as this seemed to be a closer fit for both physical/emotional struggles she's facing. Enjoy!
