Description: Log cabins, something almost everyone admires but few get to build. Like many of you, I have always wanted to build one and now I have the opportunity. I have been filming the process from the beginning when the trees were cut down, then peeled. I'll eventually go back to the beginning and start a series of the entire build. For now, the logs have some drying to do which will take a while. From there we will hew them then start construction, recreating my Grandmothers childhood home. All of these logs were cut off the land the cabin will be built on, grown in the same soil my Great Grandfather farmed, raised animals and had his family. This land, still in the family, is now ours to care for and ready for the next generation. This cabin, in honor of the past family, will be a place for the family to gather in the place where it all started.
