Hoot me a real-time, one-take vocal cover of Linkin Park's "Given Up." I see a lot of covers of this song on the ol' net, but all of them either seem lip-synced, not one-take, or a fry scream. I mean no offense to fry-screamers, but what makes Chester's seventeen-second scream so impressive is the pitch, the technique itself (which was not fry screaming), and enduring all the song leading up to that scream. It is not easy, and even Chester himself USUALLY had to break it into two separate screams when he did it live. I practiced the crap out of this song so that I could give you the real thing, no editing tricks or post-production lip-syncing. For anyone wondering, the vocal distortion technique I am using in this video is a tonal false cord, and it is totally safe. The harsher screams in the breakdown are a false cord/fry hybrid technique, which is really complicated, and I do not recommend starting there if you are a beginner. Outside of Tallah and my solo stuff, I am a vocal coach, so if anyone wants lessons, hit me up at "Red_Nocturne02@yahoo.com." I have been doing harsh and clean vocals since 2007, and I am a very accommodating teacher. 🌀 Thank you so much for all of your support! 🌀 ##justinbonitz #hungrycovers #tallah
