Description: Learn maths in English: mean (average); median; mode. Please read Chris's words here: Hello! In this lesson we’re going to look at finding the mean, median and mode of this set of numbers right here. The mean is like the average – it’s very easy. We need to add the numbers up to their total and divide by how many there are. The total of this set is 36; there are nine numbers: the mean (or average) is 36 divided by nine which is four. To find the median, we need to arrange them in ascending order – they already are (lowest to highest). Look in the middle – it’s number four. The median is four because it’s in the middle of the set. The mode is the most common number. There are three sevens, which means that seven is the most common number of this set. Seven is the mode. Thank you.
