Description: This drone includes a three axis stabilized gimbal, and a 2.7K resolution camera that records to an onboard micro SD card. Find it here bit.ly/KaionePro Pros - Small folding drone that comes with nice carrying case for portability. - Good GPS/GLONASS system with automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low voltage. - Brushless 1503 motors for power, durability, and longevity. - 7.4V 2200 mah battery provides up to 15 minutes of flight time (I got 12 1/2 minutes). - 3 axis stabilized camera gimbal. - Onboard micro SD card writer providing recording capability without use of your phone. - Camera records 2.7K (2688 x 1512 pixels) video at 25 fps, and still photos at 5700 x 4275 pixels. - The manufacturer recommended "UAV Go" app did not work with this drone. Instead I used the "HFun Fly" app. It provided real time in-flight video viewed on your phone (requires 802.11ac WiFi capable phone). The app also provides advanced flight mode capabilities, such as follow me, orbit position, and waypoints. - Advertised FPV video range is up to 1000 meters, depending on the WiFi antenna in your phone. Control range is further at up to 1200 meters. As this drone has an onboard SD card writer, you will still be able to record video and photos if you fly out of FPV range. Cons - The drone's app requires use with a 802.11ac WiFi capable phone. Not all phone's have this capability. Before purchasing, it is important to first verify that your phone has this capability. - Weighs 274 grams. This drone will require registration in most countries. - The drone's still photos are distorted by the camera's wide angled lens. Distortion is very apparent when taking close up photos. - The three axis gimbal is a bit jittery in flight, particularly in up/down pitch movement. - FPV video range was rather short with my phone. I got out to 80 meters before the FPV video froze. FPV video was not regained until the drone returned to its takeoff point. - Telemetry data is available only through the app. The controller has no built-in screen to provide this data if the drone is flown out of WiFi FPV reception range. - The controller's phone holder is designed for small/thin phones. Those with thicker phones may need to provide a means to strap their phone to the controller. Affiliate links: At no cost to you, I do receive a small commission for sales resulting from these links.
