Description: Igshaan Adams (b. 1982) is a South African artist who lives and works in Cape Town. Adams’ art is abstract, he uses cord, glass beads, plastic, wood, silk, glass or fabric, which are woven into large carpets or expansive installations. He was chosen to participate in the main exhibition “The Milk of Dreams” at the 2022 Venice Art Biennale which opens in April. Prior to this, his works can be seen in a solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle in Zürich, Switzerland. Titled “Kicking Dust”, the show is Igshaan Adams’ first major solo exhibition in continental Europe, following its presentation at the Hayward Gallery in London.
