Description: So there's this Instagram phishing scam that was circulating on Instagram. A message from a verified Instagram account is sent "warning" people that their account will be terminated permanently because of copyright infringement if they do not fill out a "support form" that is linked along with the message. This is a phishing website, and it is created to steal the Instagram credentials of users. This is a pretty big scam as lots of people actually fell for this attack. So I decided to act. I bombarded the phishing website by repeatedly sending fake Instagram credentials (username and password). The idea is to make things hard for the hacker, so that it would it hard to identify real Instagram credentials from the fake ones, and also eat up the storage space on the server, or crashing the phishing website. I wrote a simple python script to do the same Check out the code if you're interested: github.com/teja156/stop_phishing ..... and, it worked? Well, the website went offline so I'm guessing it worked. But anyway, the hacker might have just switched to a new domain but I'll keep looking.
