Description: So I actually tried baking a Christmas Gingerbread House vs. a professional baker. That's it. I don't have to tell you much more, I think you can guess the rest. Please check out more of her work no her website below: purpleflour.co.uk Claudia's Gingerbread Recipe: 75ml water 210g dark brown sugar 3 table spoons of golden syrup 3 table spoons of treacle 3 table spoons of ground cinnamon 3 table spoons of ground ginger 1 teaspoon ground cloves - 250g of cubed cold salted butter 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda 560g of plain flour - This makes one gingerbread house of the size we made plus some decorations or around 20 large shapes / around 50 small shapes. - The gingerbread is baked at 200 degrees fan for around 12-13 minutes ( baking time varies depending on size of the shapes) Health and Safety note: As I'm posting this video the health guidelines have changed in London as some of you might have heard. I just want to make sure everyone knows this was filmed a while ago and both me and Claudia work from home and were able to quarantine prior to filming. Please wear your masks and stay safe everyone.
