Description: They say “bad things happen in 3’s” but I’ve known way too many people getting hurt on bikes lately. If you aren’t aware by now, I had a crash on Sunday doing a 4th gear wheelie at around 70mph. @killermillerrr was right beside me when it happened and was able to skillfully avoid me while getting the whole thing on video which we’ll be sharing in due time. My main concern when I went down was making sure I didn’t hit her and then immediately letting her know I was ok and not to panic. Unfortunately it’s a numbers game, and the more you ride the more your chances go up. Some live to tell the tale and some pay the ultimate price. 🙏🏻 I was lucky enough to walk away from this high speed crash without a single scratch on me, aside from my heel getting bruised slightly. This is why we wear gear! Bikes can be replaced but lives can’t. If it weren’t for all of my gear I would have major road rash and possible broken bones. Protect yourself! As much as we all want to think “that won’t happen to me” it can. On a brighter note, the GSXR held up amazing and I was able to ride it home 60 miles. She’s currently awaiting a few parts before we’ll be back on the track in a few weeks. This crash only amped me up to ride even more to be honest. Some say it’s not worth it, but riding makes you feel alive. Most people never know the absolute joy of riding. It sets you free, it makes you feel invincible at times, it brings people together of all race and religion. In today’s world that means a lot. Heather and I have had the amazing opportunity to meet and make friendships with people from all across the globe because of bikes, and we plan to continue. This is merely a bump in the road.
