Description: Free Resume Template: bit.ly/GetResumeTemplate Hello my Socratica Friends! We’re here to help you be a GREAT student. I know we mostly talk about STUDYING in this series, but today we’re going to discuss what happens at the end of all that studying. You’re going to have to get a JOB. And to do that, you have to APPLY for a job. And to do THAT, you’re going to need a RESUME. ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ We created a FREE TEMPLATE for a targeted #resume. It’s one page (fill in with your information) - and it also has a page of simple instructions. Follow along with this video for more detailed instructions and advice. Link to free resume template here: bit.ly/GetResumeTemplate ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ This video is very practical. We take you through the whole process of creating a TARGETED RESUME. This is a special kind of simple, one-page resume that is specific for one job. That means you’ll tailor each targeted resume to each specific job application. We know that sounds like a lot of work - and it is! But we’re not suggesting you do this for every possible job. Read the job description carefully, and only create a targeted resume if you believe you are well-qualified to do this job. Also, consider whether you really WANT to do this job! Remember, you are choosing to apply for jobs, just as much as the hiring managers are choosing whether or not to hire you. If this is the first time you’re writing a resume, it can seem like a daunting task. But we break it down for you! How do you know what to put in the Qualifications section? (It’s in the Job Description). What kind of experience should you list? (Not your entire work history). Even if you’ve written your resume before, we encourage you to try our tips & tricks for creating a simplified, TARGETED resume. We think you’ll find it’s the best way to showcase who you are for this job application. We referred to getting good search results (Google Tips) in this video. Here’s our video about it: bit.ly/Google_Tips Here's the useful website we found that listed Employment Skills for various jobs. Note that this list will change with time. bit.ly/EmploymentSkillsList ♦ SUBSCRIBE ♦ to Socratica to get our newest videos! bit.ly/SocraticaSubscribe ♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦ This video was made possible by our VIP Patrons on Patreon!
