Description: In this video I explain how to correctly prune a tree to remove multiple leading shoots in order to bring it back to a single leader. Many trees naturally have a single leading shoot, especially when young, however if this stem is damaged it can cause the tree to grow numerous leading shoots. If left unpruned these multiple shoots will lead to a bushy congested tree which can cause fungal diseases and branch failure in the future.
