Description: This step-by-step tutorial shows you how to knit an easy & elastic cowl (with ribbed stitch for the bottom and top part, and smooth sand stitch for the body part) using a round loom. So, if you have never loom knitted before, this project is perfect for you! And if you are already a loom knitter, this video tutorial may help you guide your family and friends on how to start with your beloved hobby. Important Note: I made this cowl for a 4-year-old girl, so that's why I used the 36-peg round loom and 50g (1.75Oz) of yarn. If you want to make an adult-size hat, I recommend you to use the 41-peg loom and 100g (3.5Oz) of yarn to work a knitting height of about 24cm (9.5"). In this tutorial you will learn: - How to start your cowl (how to cast on stitches on the loom) - How to knit an elastic brim (how to work e-wrap knit stitches and purl stitches) - How to work the smooth sand stitch on the round - How to to bind off Index of Contents: [00:00] - Introduction [00:44] - Casting on [02:18] - Knitting the bottom border [05:10] - Knitting the body's Round A [06:05] - Knitting the body's Round B [06:45] - Repeating Rounds A & B [07:27] - Knitting the top border [08:18] - Binding off [11:18] - Weaving in LOOM: The loom I use in this project is a 36-peg XL gauge round loom, because I wanted to make a child-size cowl. I recommend you to use the the 41-peg loom for adults. YARN: The yarn I use here is a bulky weight yarn (size #6). If your thread is thinner than mine (a medium weight yarn), I recommend you to use 2 strands at the same time. For this project, I used 50g (1.75Oz) approx. of a yarn called Valeria di Roma Alaska.
