Description: ►► FREE: Learn exactly how I’m recording my bass so I can play with anyone, anywhere in the world → youtu.be/C_9Hz44v3bQ No gigs, no jam sessions, not even a campfire fire singalong… For most of us, our ability to make music with other people has been all but completely destroyed. At the time of writing this, I haven’t played music with anyone else in person for just under 6 weeks - and to be honest, it’s making me a little bit crazy! But just because we’re all practicing distancing or even dealing with quarantines or complete lockdowns, doesn’t mean you have to stop playing bass and being creative with other people. In fact, since the world shut down, I’ve had a few really cool opportunities to make music with other people without ever leaving my house. It’s all done digitally and in some cases, I’m playing with hundreds of people I’ve never even met. Today, I want to show you how you can do the same thing and scratch that music-making itch that I know is inside you. Of course, none of these are going to be a true substitute for playing music with people in the same room. I’m definitely itching to get back to gigging and jamming with my musician friends, but in the meantime, this is what I’m doing to deal with the whole situation. Do you have ways that you’ve been making music virtually? If so, let everyone know in the comments below. I’m fascinated with how other people are continuing to create, collaborate and make music, even if the world is a completely different place than it was just a few months ago. Stay safe and stay healthy and I’ll talk to you soon. Cheers, Luke P.S. If you are going to dip your toes in the virtual recording waters, then you’re going to get the best results from using some kind of USB interface to record your bass. It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive though, and in my video, Radio Ready Bass Tracks For Less Than $100, I show you exactly how I record my bass at home so I can keep making music, even though I can’t be in the same room as any other musicians.
