Description: This is a simple and effective exercise to help you learn to draw. The simple shapes of the banana might be easy to draw but there are lots of variation in the shading to bring it to life. Most important are the bounce lights from the other bananas and the table surface. Shade those in correctly and your bananas will look real. I am using a 4B pencil with the stump for some smudging. When drawing this, avoid using hard lines as that kills realism and turns it more into an illustration. Carefully observe the subtleties in the form and shade it.
